“Congratulations to the Academy for the work that transforms many lives around the world.” The First Academy Awards in Brazil: The Judges’ Recap

Rubens Prado | Entrepreneur and Aracaju South Stake President

"Hello! My name is Rubens Prado. I currently serve as the Aracaju South Stake President and was invited by Alex Cavalcante to be a judge in the first-ever Brazilian Academy Awards. I was impressed to see young entrepreneurs, men and women, doing very well because they are applying what they learned at the Academy. This was true whether they had businesses less than a year old, growing ventures, or established businesses.

I was impressed and I was very happy [with the outcome]. If you have an opportunity to start your business together with the Academy or if you already have a business and want to take it to the next level, I invite you to join us. Congratulations to all the participants at this Academy Awards!

Analiesia Cruz | Businesswoman

“Participating as a judge in the ACE Academy Awards was an incredible and inspiring experience. I had the opportunity to meet people who started a business from scratch, true entrepreneurs. They are an example for the whole of society, showing that it is possible to succeed despite the difficulties of the business world. Congratulations to the Academy for the work that transforms many lives around the world.”

Rinaldo Neres | Olinda Stake President

"Hi! My name is Rinaldo Neres! I had the privilege of participating as one of the judges of the first Brazilian Academy Awards. As a judge, I had my work cut out for me as I witnessed the preparation and entrepreneurial vision of the participants. I want to congratulate the organizers of this event for the opportunities they are providing for Church members to be successful entrepreneurs.

It was amazing to see what happens when participants apply Academy principles – maintaining a break-even point, growing a customer base, and becoming a profitable business with a vision of growth and expansion. We had brilliant presentations by these new entrepreneurs from different segments. They were creative, they were excited about their businesses and they showed a desire not only to start a business, but to increase their income. They thought big and had the desire to grow – even if they started small. I encourage each of these new entrepreneurs to keep moving forward and reach their goals. Every entrepreneur goes through challenges, but never forget they can be overcome with faith. The Savior will always be by your side, holding your hand as you walk toward success. That's what I wish for each of you!”

Edilson Pereira | Entrepreneur

"Hi! I'm Edilson Pereira, supporter of the Academy for Creating Enterprise in Brazil. I want to congratulate all those who participated in the 2022 Brazilian Academy Awards. I was one of the judges and was elated as I watched the participants. Regardless of whether they won, the fact that each person was eligible to participate in the prize says a lot. I saw their commitment, dedication, and steadiness. The sky is the limit! I also want to congratulate the entire organization and Alex Cavalcante and Sergio who have done a brilliant job with the Academy here in Brazil.”

Eric Loudon | Academy Supporter

"Hello everyone, my name is Eric Loudon, I had the opportunity and privilege to participate as a

judge in the first Academy Awards in Brazil. I was so impressed with the preparation of the women who were presenting. It was easy to see that because of the Academy courses these sisters attended, they were really excited to expand their business and had the knowledge to do so. I think that the things being taught by the Academy can really change the lives of the people in Brazil. And for those of you who want to learn and are willing to work, this program will give you the knowledge and tools you need to start your own business or improve your existing business. I am grateful for the opportunity to participate with ACE and hope that I can continue to support students in Brazil. Thank you very much and congratulations to all the students who participated this year in the Academy Awards."
